786.853.2333 Brickell Key
Is an artificial triangular island at the mouth of the Miami River. The history of Brickell Key real estate can be traced to 1896, when Henry Flagler had a 9-foot (deep channel dug from the mouth of the Miami River. In the process, Mr. Flagler created an off-shore property composed of two small islands. Edward N. Claughton, a real estate investor. Acquired the Brickell Key islands in 1943 and eventually purchased additional bay bottom land to combine them to a 44-acre triangle-shaped tract. Brickell Key is just over the bridge from Miami's renowned Brickell Avenue.
Swire Properties purchased most of the island in the 1970's from the Claughton's. Slowly under Swire Properties the island started transforming to one of the most exclusive island communities not only in Brickell but in Miami. Today Brickell Key is the destination for all those seeking luxury living in a secluded community minutes from all that Miami has to offer.
